Oct. 1, 2026, SEATTLE – Expedia Group B2B announced today product milestones for its Rapid API ecosystem and its travel agent platform, Expedia TAAP, it’s Travel Agent Affiliate Program.

Key facts

  • Rapid Activities API: Designed as another offering to expand the Rapid API ecosystem beyond lodging, the Activities API gives partners faster time-to-market with pre-curated supply to must-see attractions, museums, tours and experiences travelers want to book.
  • Expedia TAAP: Curated Tiqets activities are available during the beta phase for a limited number of UK travel agencies. The curated experience is designed to simplify activity discovery and support faster, more relevant recommendations for travelers.

“77% of travelers want to book their travel on one platform according to our latest Expedia Group research, Full Trip Planning,” said Stephen Cheng, VP, Expedia Group B2B. “Expanding our Rapid API ecosystem to include activities, gives our partners the products and tools they need to better serve travelers that want to book all trip elements in one place.”

Rapid API

Rapid Activities API beta. Rapid Activities API is launching in beta for select partners. It enables them to build fully customized, end-to-end shopping and booking experiences on top of Expedia Group’s globally curated inventory, now enhanced by Tiqets’ deep strength in attractions and museums. General availability is planned for early 2027.

Beta partner Global Hotel Card CEO Peter Friend said, "Historically, we believed travelers would pick a destination first, then search for flights and hotel, and then eventually an activity. We believe today the experience is the priority and that the booking order is changing. Activities aren't an afterthought anymore. Booking the activity is increasingly becoming the starting point, and then travelers book the flight and hotel around them. We want to bring our clients the best activities out there, so we’re honored to be a beta partner in the Rapid Activities API launch."

Expedia TAAP

Tiqets activities beta in the UK. Select Expedia TAAP UK-based partners now have access to curated Tiqets activities. The beta agencies gain access to a curated activities experience that simplifies discovery and helps surface high-quality experiences faster. Activities are organized in a way that helps agents discover relevant options faster to better serve travelers.

Beta partner Flights Guru Commercial Manager Liam Brophy said, “We're honored to have early access to this Expedia TAAP beta. Helping travelers discover the right experiences that complement a hotel or flight booking is an important part of delivering exceptional service, and this capability makes that process faster and more intuitive for our sales staff. It allows us to spend less time searching, more time focusing on travelers.”
